Venice covers a fairly large geographical area and consists of several distinctly different communities. Venice Island is unique unto itself and has it’s own page on this site so we will concentrate on the rest of Venice. To see the history of Venice see Venice Island page.
Off-Island Venice includes the area from east of the Intracoastal all the way to the Myakka River.
South Venice- Offers very affordable homes from the low $100K range, and there is a South Venice Community Association that has a ferry service to a secluded beach located between Casperson Beach & Manasota Beach. Some homes in South Venice are waterfront on the Intracoastal and have quick access to Gulf via Venice Inlet. This is a good area for families & retirees alike. Just to the south of Venice is the new West Villages area currently booming with new construction. Check my West Villages page!
