down payment assistance for first time home buyers

Down Payment Money Is Available

One of the biggest obstacles first time home buyers face is coming up with the down payment, but that can often be a burden for singles or young families facing high rental costs. The standard minimum down payment for an FHA loan is 3.5%, about $7000 on a $200,000 home, not counting closing costs and other buyer fees. The State of Florida offers some assistance programs through the Florida Housing Department and there are some other public/private programs that can help offset some of those costs and also offer some taxpayer credits. There is also a program offered by the the USDA (Department of Agriculture) that offers zero down loans with no PMI, which are available only in certain areas and also have income limits for qualification. If you need more information on any of these programs, please click on the link:    See If You’re Eligible
