Casey Key is an 8 mile long barrier island that stretches from Siesta Key to Venice Island. It is truly one of the most desirable places to live in Florida. Homes are either located directly on the Gulf of Mexico or the Intracoastal Waterway, and in some cases both, referred to as “Gulf to Bay” properties. Most properties are priced over $1 million, although there are several low rise converted beach motels offering more reasonably priced condo units. There are two public beaches on Casey Key, Nokomis Beach and North Jetty Park and there is also a free public boat ramp at Nokomis Beach Park. The Sertoma Club of Venice sponsors the annual Venice July 4th fireworks display and Nokomis Beach is one of the most popular veiwing locations.
